1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to recognise your browser across requests and, in some cases, across separate visits. This site also uses browser storage (localStorage) to remember your cookie preference - this is a first-party record kept only in your own browser.

2. What we use

We operate a deliberately minimal cookie footprint. The table below describes every category of cookie or tracking mechanism on this site.

CategoryProviderConsent required?Purpose
EssentialOperon (first-party)NoStores your cookie consent preference in browser localStorage (operon_consent_v2) so the consent banner does not reappear after you have decided.
AnalyticsGoogle Analytics 4YesMeasures aggregate traffic: which pages are visited, how visitors navigate, and where traffic originates. Measurement ID: G-WYKW3SMP51. No advertising profiles are built. Data is processed by Google LLC under their standard terms. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising / MarketingNoneN/ANot used. Operon sets no advertising or marketing cookies and runs no paid campaigns. The advertising consent signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are kept permanently denied and cannot be enabled through this site.

3. Google Consent Mode v2

This site implements Google Consent Mode v2. When you arrive, all analytics and advertising storage is set to denied by default. Google Analytics operates in a cookieless, consent-aware mode until you make an explicit choice. If you accept analytics, full measurement is enabled; if you decline, only aggregate, cookieless modelling may occur on Google's side under their standard terms. The advertising signals remain denied at all times - accepting analytics does not enable any advertising or remarketing storage.

4. How to change or withdraw consent

Your consent choice is stored only in your browser. You can change it at any time:

  • Click “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page on this site - the preference panel will reopen.
  • Clear your browser's localStorage (site data) for operonsystemsglobal.com - this removes the stored choice and the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
  • Install a browser extension such as Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent GA4 measurement regardless of consent state.

Changes take effect immediately and apply to your current browser and device. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you will need to set your preference in each one separately.

5. Data retention

Analytics data collected via Google Analytics 4 is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted from Google's systems. Your consent preference (stored locally in your browser) persists until you clear it or change it - it is never transmitted to our servers.
